Saudi startup Mismar clinched the top prize of USD 200,000 at the 2024 Entrepreneurship World Cup, held during the Biban24 forum.
Mismar’s app, designed to optimize fleet maintenance for corporations, impressed judges with its innovative approach. By using new techniques, the app reduces service frequency and enhances speed, streamlining operations for companies that rely heavily on vehicle fleets.
This solution positions Mismar as a key player in the growing field of automotive services technology.
In an interview with Sharikat Mubasher website, Mismar’s CEO AlKhodhairi shared the company’s ambitious plans for growth. He stated that MisMar aims to become the leading automotive services platform in the MENA region.
AlKhodhairi expressed confidence that Mismar’s holistic approach would continue to attract both individual and corporate clients.
The app not only focuses on corporations but also offers services for individuals, reshaping the way automotive services are accessed and delivered in Saudi Arabia. Users can request services such as general maintenance, spare parts, and more, all through a single, easy-to-use platform.
Empowering SMEs Globally Through Entrepreneurship World Cup
The Entrepreneurship World Cup serves as a vital platform for startups, providing not only financial rewards but also access to tools, mentorship, and resources needed for growth. This year’s competition featured over 100 startups from more than 50 countries, all competing for a share of the USD 1 million prize pool.
The competition, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) in partnership with the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk) and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), focuses on empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Participants benefit from tailored boot camps, training programs, and opportunities to connect with industry experts and mentors.
GEN, which operates in over 200 countries, plays a significant role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship on a global scale.
Global Recognition of Startups
The Entrepreneurship World Cup highlights the importance of supporting startups, particularly in competitive markets, by giving them the tools to refine their business models, gain exposure, and grow.
In addition to Mismar’s victory, the competition also recognized N&E Innovations from Singapore, which took second place and a prize of USD 140,000, and Sommalife from Ghana, which claimed third place with a USD 70,000 award.
These winners reflect the diverse and global nature of the competition, which continues to foster entrepreneurship worldwide.
