Wa’ed Ventures, the investment arm of Aramco’s Wa’ed Program, has announced it is leading a USD 5 million Series A funding round for EME, a Dutch company specializing in sustainability and circular economy solutions.

Moreover, this strategic investment will help EME localize its cutting-edge technologies in Saudi Arabia. It is directly contributing to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals, which prioritize sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Supporting Regional Expansion

The funding will also support EME’s expansion into new markets across the Middle East, driving the adoption of sustainable practices globally.

EME, founded in 2017, provides innovative solutions that help businesses track surplus materials. The platform repurpose them through a digital platform powered by AI and IoT technologies.

By enhancing material flows and reducing carbon emissions, EME’s platform plays a vital role in high-value recycling and waste reduction. This is aligning with the Kingdom’s push towards a circular economy.
