RedBird IMI, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi’s International Media Investments (IMI) and New York-based RedBird Capital, has completed the acquisition of All3Media for $1.45 billion.

This acquisition is the largest transaction to date for the joint venture, which was formed in December 2022.

The acquisition involved purchasing All3Media from its joint owners, Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. and Liberty Global Ltd., at a price of £1.15 billion ($1.45 billion). The deal has received regulatory approval in the USA, UK, and Germany. All3Media is known for producing hit shows such as “Fleabag”, “Gogglebox”, and “The Traitors”.

Following the acquisition, RedBird IMI CEO Jeff Zucker will serve as chairman of the All3Media board, while incumbent CEO Jane Turton and COO Sara Geater will continue to lead the company.

London-based All3Media is the UK’s largest independent production company, with 50 production labels including Studio Lambert, Raw, Two Brothers Pictures, Silverback Films, New Pictures, and Neal Street Productions, operating across the UK, USA, Germany, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.

All3Media’s portfolio includes popular shows such as “Squid Game: The Challenge”, “Gold Rush”, “Midsomer Murders”, “American Nightmare”, “The Circle”, and “Call the Midwife”.

Previously, RedBird IMI was in talks to acquire UK newspaper publisher Telegraph Media Group but withdrew from the potential takeover last month.
