What happened? Dubai Land Department (DLD) and REACH have signed an agreement to launch REACH Middle East. The initiative aims to attract emerging proptech companies to Dubai and the region while driving innovation in the real estate sector.
His Excellency Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of DLD: “ We remain committed to supporting startups in this field and providing them with the right environment to thrive. This will drive the development of innovative and sustainable real estate solutions, further strengthening Dubai’s global leadership in the sector.”
Who are they? REACH is a real estate technology accelerator backed by the National Association of Realtors (NAR). The program aims to help technology companies launch into the real estate vertical and its adjacent markets. Additionally, it aims to provide education, mentorship and market exposure.
Dubai Land Department is the Dubai government entity responsible for the registration, organization, and promotion of real estate investments in Dubai. It aims to provide an attractive environment for investment through focusing on sustainable development and innovation.
This comes as the Dubai Land Department is planning to host PropTech Connect 2026, a real estate technology conference.
Proptech
How will they collaborate? DLD aims to support the program by promoting it through its media channels and engaging with investors and potential partners. It will also offer regulatory guidance to startups as well as data and insights on Dubai’s real estate market. Additionally, it aims to launch pilot programs, allowing companies to test innovations in a real-world environment and refine their solutions.
Meanwhile, REACH aims to manage and oversee the program’s operations, including selecting participating startups. In addition , it will be providing mentorship and investment funding, and granting access to its global network of investors and proptech experts.
Additionally, with the support of DLD, REACH will establish its regional office in Dubai. With this, it aims to strengthen its presence in the region and attract talent and innovation to Dubai’s real estate market.
