What’s happening? The Creativa Incubation Program (CIP) announced the opening of applications for its third cohort

The program is organized by the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). Furthermore, it is organized at the Creativa Innovation Hubs under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).

Who is eligible?The program is open to individuals with an innovative idea, startup, or graduation project in various fields. These include edtech, renewable energy, e-commerce, and smart cities.

CIP aims to develop pre-seed startups as sustainable businesses with scaling potential. In addition, it aims to foster emerging tech innovation to address market challenges.

What’s in it for participants ? The program will provide participants with financial and technical support up to EGP 360,000 over nine months with zero equity. This includes an 180K grant with an additional 180K worth of services. These services include mentoring, business and technical consulting and a dedicated office space. Thus, beyond capital, the program aims to offer guidance and networking opportunities. 

Creativa

What is Creativa? Creativa is a national initiative launched by MCIT with the aim of bridging the gap between technological skills and market needs. The hubs are across Egypt in Mansoura, Mounfia, Menia, Sohag, Qena and Aswan with each hub catering to the unique needs of its governorate. Furthermore, the aim is to equip the youth with the technological skills required for the future job market.

Why does this matter? The program, backed by ITIDA’s TIEC under the MCIT, aims to transform ideas, startups and graduation projects into scalable businesses. Additionally, it aims to foster emerging tech based innovation to tackle market challenges.
