EDA launches a platform to regulate the cosmetics industry

Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) launched an electronic platform named EgyCosm that will automate all procedures and all services provided by the EDA. The platform launch comes within the framework of the EDA’s keenness to continuously update and automate procedures, work rules, and keep pace with developments in international regulatory work, requirements for developing the local market, upgrading the quality of goods, and encouraging investment.

EDA confirmed that a series of virtual workshops will be held for representatives of beauty companies to teach them how to use EgyCosm.

EDA also aims to create a database for cosmetics based on all international standards, update it on a daily basis, facilitate communication between all dealers in the Egyptian cosmetics market and EDA, and ensure the safety, efficiency and safety of cosmetics traded in the Egyptian market. This will ensure the availability of cosmetics with high standards of safety and quality, access to all listing services electronically.
