Meta launches Meta Boost, a new training program for SMEs in Saudi Arabia

Meta launches ‘Meta Boost’, a global program focused on training for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at).

The program aims to support 20,000 SMEs by educating and training them on the use of Meta products and tools to accelerate their business growth online.

Meta will also partner with AstroLabs, a technology regional ecosystem builder that enables the growth of people, companies, and innovation capacities, to support the management and execution of the SMB trainer-led workshops in Saudi Arabia.

“Small businesses are at the heart of our communities as well as the economic health of our region. The Kingdom’s SMEs account for 99.5% of all businesses, so helping the SME community in Saudi Arabia thrive and grow is a priority for us. This is why we developed a tailored Meta Boost program that supports the digitization of 20,000 local SMBs through a series of capacity-building workshops and resources. We are excited to be partnering with MCIT and Monsha’at on this program, to support national efforts to boost economic diversity and growth across the Kingdom,” ‏Joelle Awwad, Head of Policy Programs at Meta MENAT, said.

The program will help increase the productivity of Saudi’s SMEs and increase their contribution to GDP to 35% by 2030, in line with Vision 2030, the press statement said.

The Meta Boost program will offer SMEs dedicated workshops and masterclasses that will be driven by Meta-certified experts and will showcase success stories to inspire further digitization of SMBs.

The program features an SME Resource Hub and a Watch Channel. The hub will provide SMEs with access to a suite of free tools, on-demand training videos, and best-practice digital marketing strategies directly from Meta experts.
