NATGAS partners with Fawry to launch a prepaid recharge service for meter cards

NATGAS, National Gas Company, partnered with Fawry, a financial technology and banking services provider, to launch a prepaid recharge service for gas meter cards. In addition to that, electronic payment services for gas bills through Fawry’s channels with the aim of facilitating payments for citizens.

The partnership comes in line with Fawry’s role in supporting Egypt’s digital transformation strategy and Vision 2030 to become a cashless society across all sectors.

“Cooperation with Fawry is an important and necessary step towards digitizing the payment and collection of gas bills and dues, in addition to facilitating prepaid meter charging services for citizens, which serves the strategy of digital transformation and financial inclusion pursued by Egypt,” Omar Mahmoud Masoud, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of NATGAS, said.

Fawry also recently launched the Tamweelak Fawry mobile app, a digital loan request and tracking tool designed to simplify the financing process for existing micro and small businesses by allowing them to apply for loans at the time and place of their convenience.
