Playgama, a UAE-based game tech startup, has secured USD 3 million in a funding round led by The Open Platform (part of the Telegram ecosystem) and s16vc.

The funding round is also backed from additional investors including FJ Labs, The Games Fund, TON Ventures, and Kirill Eves, CEO of Unlimit.

The funding will enable Playgama to streamline the distribution of HTML5 games across the global web market.

Simplifying Access for HTML5 Game Developers

Founded in 2023 by Dmitry Kachmar, Playgama aims to simplify the process for developers to reach global audiences. This is particularly in key markets like Europe and the USA.

The platform will allow developers to effortlessly publish their games on numerous portals, addressing a fragmented market that lacks centralized distribution hubs like App Store or Steam.

Expanding the Playgama Platform and Ecosystem

The gaming startup also plans to build a full-scale Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) ecosystem. It is providing web game developers with tools to navigate fragmented markets, enhance reach, and increase ROI.

Furthermore, the company’s open-source “integrate once, reach everywhere” SDK, Playgama Bridge. It has already been used by over 1,000 developers. Playgama also integrates Web3 elements. Its platform supporting play-to-earn mechanics and crypto payments.

With the funding, the startup will expand its toolkit, improve its platform for developers. Additionally, it will also introduce advanced analytics and fintech solutions to further enhance its offerings.
