TASMU Lights the Way for Startups
Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) just dropped the mic: the TASMU Accelerator program is back with its 2024 cohort. This year, 25 startups from 14 countries, including Qatar, Jordan, and the USA, have made the cut.
The program aims to turbocharge innovation by focusing on sectors like smart cities, fintech, and health tech.
“We are excited to welcome this outstanding cohort of 25 start-ups, each capable of delivering transformative solutions that will enhance Qatar’s digital competitiveness and economic growth.”
H.E. Reem al Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Industry Affairs at MCIT
TASMU, a flagship initiative under Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030, aims to arm startups with the tools to grow and excel. Participants get mentorship, funding, and access to a cutting-edge digital ecosystem.
TASMU Accelerator, More Than Just a Launchpad
This is not just another accelerator. TASMU is part of Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030, a roadmap for a smarter, more connected future. Qatar’s tech scene has been booming, with digital transformation initiatives attracting global attention.
Startups like Holo Labs and Edutech AI, which joined previous cohorts, have reported massive growth post-program. TASMU helps bridge the gap between innovation and application, fostering solutions that can be scaled across sectors.
As the global digital economy grows, Qatar positions itself as a regional hub. This is critical, especially as governments emphasize technology to drive sustainability, efficiency, and competitiveness.
TASMU’s Selection of Rising Stars
TASMU’s 2024 cohort is another bold step in Qatar’s journey to become a digital innovation powerhouse. Startups from across the globe are here to dream, disrupt, and deliver. And with TASMU steering the ship, the future looks brighter than ever.
This year’s lineup did not just happen by chance—it’s backed by a squad of heavy hitters. In addition to the support of Ooredoo, the selection panel was packed by heavy hitters: Hamad Medical Corporation keeping the health tech in check, Qatar Development Bank dropping the financial support like it is hot, and Alchemist Accelerator cooking up entrepreneurial gold. Add Rasmal VC and Golden Gates VC throwing their weight behind innovation, and you’ve got serious star power.
But wait, there is more—Mowasalat, Iberdrola, and Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute are bringing the green energy and transport vibes, while HPE and Malomatia keep the tech sleek and sharp. Oh, and let us not forget the icons: Qatar Airways and Msheireb Properties. Together, this dream team is giving startups the VIP treatment, straight to the top.
