Wattnow raises $1.3m in a pre-series A round

Wattnow, Tunisia-based IoT-based energy management solution, raised $1.3m in a pre-series A funding round. The round was co-led by Katapult Climate and 216 Capital, and joined by Launch Africa Venture, CrossBoundary, Oman Technology Fund (OTF), and Saudi angel investors.

Wattnow was founded in 2018 and provides devices for energy consumption monitoring & optimization for companies & individuals, this helps companies optimize their energy use and extend the life of their assets.

The startup will use the funds to boost its local sales and also focus on its expansion plans. Wattnow is targeting the expansion to Africa and the Middle East.
