Get to Know MENA’s Most Notable Startups Funding Rounds this November

These startups were able to raise more than $406 million this November in these 14 deals. Just Yassir and Fenix Games raised $150 million on their own. Algeria’s super app and on-demand services marketplace Yassir, raised $150 million in a Series B funding round led by BOND. UAE’s blockchain-powered gaming platform Fenix Games raised $150 million in funding from Phoenix Group and Cypher Capital. 

The FinTech industry once again was very prominent among this month’s funding rounds. Egypt’s FinTech startup Blnk raised $32 million in debt and equity, and both UAE FinTech startups Pyypl and Baraka raised $20 million this month. Qashio, another UAE FinTech startup, raised $10 million in a pre-seed round.

Grinta, Egypt’s FinTech-enabled B2B digital pharmacy platform, raised $8 million in a seed round. UAE’s PropTech startup Silkhaus raised $7.7 million in a seed funding round. Saudi Arabia’s data-driven productivity platform DataLexing raised $3 million in a Seed round.

SaaS industry startups have also been growing in the MENA region, Egypt’s architecture SaaS startup CONIX has raised $1.3 million in a pre-seed round and Saudi’s SaaS startup Order, a technical solutions provider for F&B owners, raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round. Saudi’s Software as a Service (SaaS) one-stop solution for social ordering platform Slide raised $1.75 million in a pre-seed funding round. 

Rekt Studios, UAE’s blockchain and gaming startup, raised $1.5 million in funding. Brotinni, a FoodTech and dark butcher’ solutions startup, raised $600k in a Seed funding round.
