IEvents to Launch Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards in May 2021

IEvents announces the launch of the first-ever, Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards (EEA), the event is powered by Inertia with Orange Egypt and PepsiCo acting as sponsors.

In line with Egypt’s vision to support entrepreneurship as one of the drivers of economic growth, IEvents is launching EEA with the aim to acknowledge the state’s brightest entrepreneurs across various industries. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in May 2021. The event will celebrate the nation’s brilliant entrepreneurs on a night filled with glamour, networking, entertainment, and above all, appreciation.

EEA is collecting direct nominations from our board & jury members, sponsors & ecosystem partners, and our EEA team across our 22 award categories. There is the opportunity for anyone to nominate an entrepreneur as well as the opportunity for entrepreneurs to apply directly for an award before our April 6 deadline. 

The applicant must be a business starter who’s had an impact on society as well as the owner of a company that has been operating for less than 15 years and was established in Egypt. The applications will be presented to and evaluated by jury panels comprising at least three top industry experts that have been meticulously selected by the advisory board.

The objective of this event is to honor the achievements of rising entrepreneurs who have established themselves as leaders in their industries, inspire entrepreneurs who are starting out as well as create a
solid platform for the greatest minds to meet.

Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards is the first-of-its-kind in Egypt to celebrate entrepreneurs. What sets it apart is an advisory board that features some of Egypt’s leading business and entrepreneurial minds. Their role is to provide objective expertise and guidance, making EEA a credible and influential entity.

The advisory board includes Ahmed Elsewedy, President & CEO of Elsewedy Electric S.A.E.; Aladdin Saba, Founding Partner of BPE Partners; Ahmed Habib, President & CEO of Harvest Holdings & Founding Member of EO Cairo; Hussein Rifai, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Inertia Holding; Dina El Mofty, Founder of Injaz Egypt; Neveen El Tahri, Chairperson at Delta Shield for Investment; Onsi Sawiris, Co-Founder & Managing Partner at HOF Capital; Thuraya Ismail, Executive Director of Mentor Arabia & Eisenhower Fellow; and Wael Fakharany, CEO of Omnix International. 

There will be over 15 categories represented such as Architecture & Design, Fashion & Jewelry, E-Commerce, Education, Fitness & Lifestyle, Food & Beverage, Media & Advertising, Social Entrepreneurship, Tourism, Next Generation Family Intrapreneur, and more. The nominations will be presented to and evaluated by jury panels comprising of at least three top industry experts that have been meticulously selected by the advisory board.

Moreover, Orange and PepsiCo will be sponsoring the events as EEA’s Co-Partners.
