INTRO Technology announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oman Data Park to establish the Kemet Data Center (KDC) in the Suez Canal Economic Zone. The KDC is the first strategic partnership between the two companies and aims to provide cloud solutions to continue promoting digital transformation in the African continent and the Middle East region.
The Center’s Installations
The Kemet Data center is projected to be developed in two phases with over 80,000 sqm at the strategically located Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone). The data center is poised to take advantage of Egypt’s strategic location to provide a highly efficient and secure platform to companies operating across the region. The center will offer cost-effective advanced cloud data capabilities, including dynamic scalability, faster data processing, and improved latency for companies wishing to improve user experience.
In line with the latest sustainability trends and environment-friendly technologies, the center will rely partially on solar energy to power its operations while underscoring its commitment to reducing carbon emissions and delivering cutting-edge digital solutions and services.
Strategic Advantages
Oman Data Park will provide comprehensive commercial services, including design and construction oversight, and operations management. At the same time, Advansys’ Excellence Center will host KDC’s staff to offer comprehensive support related to project management, including legal procedures, hardware and equipment importation, and design, and to expedite the kickoff phase.

Chairman of the General Authority of the SCZone, Walid Gamal El-Din, pointed out that KDC is the first data center of its kind and emphasized the relevance of data center projects to attract new businesses. He also underlined the privileged geostrategic location enjoyed by the SCZone and the benefits technology companies may derive from its proximity to a significant share of the undersea communications cables as well as deeper cooperation and coordination to accelerate new arrivals.KDC will cater to the growing demand for cloud services in the African continent and Middle East region to support digital transformation by leveraging Egypt’s geostrategic location and access to significant undersea submarine cables.
