Simplex secures USD 13 million as a part of Saudi efforts to support and localize advanced industries within the Kingdom. With the investment they aim to build a significantly sized CNC factory in Saudi.
Simplex is an industrial solutions company that manufactures industrial CNC machines for major clients in Egypt and the Middle East. They were founded in 2013 as a startup specializing in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine manufacturing.Additionally, they aim to provide advanced technological solutions that meet customer needs in various industrial sectors in regional and global markets.
CNC Factory
The startup signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi Arabia’s National Industrial Development Centre to establish the company’s first factory within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Simplex aims to use the funding to open a factory dedicated to producing advanced CNC machines. Moreover, the plan is to build this factory on 20,000 square meters in Riyadh. Mohamed Mansour, Co-Founder and CCO at Simplex explains that this new factory is a significant step towards the company’s goals of expansion and increasing its shares in the global markets.

The factory plans are in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to economically diversify and localize advanced industries. Furthermore, the company aims to contribute to strengthening the Kingdom’s industrial capabilities, create job opportunities and support non-oil exports.
Eng. Ahmed Shaaban, Chairman of Simplex, “Although we have not yet finalized the target production capacity, we plan to start operating the factory in the first quarter of 2026. This project reflects our commitment to contributing to the development of the Saudi industrial sector, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.”
