Bokra, the MENA region’s first goal-achiever app backed by tangible assets such as real estate and precious metals, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Canadian International College (CIC) to establish an EGP 10 million fund aimed at supporting student entrepreneurs. The initiative is part of a broader effort to provide CIC students with access to early-stage capital and mentorship, ensuring they have the tools to transform their innovative ideas into successful ventures.
Announced at a launch event attended by over 1,000 students, the fund will focus on early-stage projects, offering financial backing and strategic guidance to student-led initiatives. This initiative builds on Bokra’s recent momentum following the startup’s successful $4.6 million pre-seed funding round earlier this year. Ayman El-Sawy, Founder and CEO of Bokra, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to fostering the region’s startup ecosystem: “Our mission at Bokra is crystal clear: we make financial goals a reality. Our partnership with CIC is reflective of our commitment to cultivate a more mature and dynamic startup ecosystem by empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs with the essential tools, resources, and funding they need to not just succeed, but to thrive.”
El-Sawy also highlighted the significance of this fund in shaping the future of entrepreneurship in Egypt: “Through our EGP 10 million fund, we are paving the way for a new era of innovation and progress in Egypt by building a future where entrepreneurship is not just a dream but a tangible reality for all who dare to innovate and create change.”
Magdy El Kady, Chairman of CIC, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are immensely proud to join forces with a trailblazer like Bokra in this transformative initiative. Together, we are creating opportunities for the next generation of innovators to unleash their potential and drive positive change in our society and economy.” Since its establishment in 2004, CIC has been dedicated to providing world-class education through its partnership with Cape Breton University, fostering a strong foundation for Egypt’s next generation of leaders.
Empowering Egypt’s Youth Through Education and Funding
This partnership is part of the newly launched “Bokra Academy,” an initiative designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical demands of the professional world. As Egypt’s first provider of Canadian education, CIC has a strong track record in equipping students with the necessary skills to excel locally and globally. The Bokra Academy will offer free online courses in key areas such as Financial Planning, Marketing, Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Corporate Law. These certified programs will help students build a solid foundation for their entrepreneurial journeys.
Graduates from Bokra Academy will not only have access to employment opportunities through Bokra and its partner organizations but they will also be fast-tracked to receive funding from the EGP 10 million student fund. This comprehensive support system aims to guide students from education to entrepreneurship, helping them bring their business ideas to life with financial resources and mentorship backing.

Strengthening Egypt’s Entrepreneurial Landscape
The Bokra-CIC partnership reflects a larger trend of empowering Egypt’s youth to embrace entrepreneurship as a viable career path. With over 5,000 students currently enrolled and 10,000 graduates excelling locally and globally, CIC continues to play a key role in developing Egypt’s educational and business landscape. Through the support of Bokra, which positions itself as a financial freedom gateway for the region, this initiative is poised to nurture a more dynamic and resilient entrepreneurial ecosystem.
As Bokra continues to drive its mission forward, this partnership underscores its ongoing efforts to blend educational opportunities with financial backing, helping students transition from academia to entrepreneurship and contributing to Egypt’s economic growth.
