Egypt is launching an intellectual property strategy this Wednesday

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to follow up on the final arrangements for launching the National Strategy for Intellectual Property (IP). He stated that the strategy has already been completed, and it is scheduled to be launched next Wednesday in a ceremony under the auspices of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Madbouly stated that this national strategy comes in line with the Egyptian government’s efforts in this matter, the SDGs, the World Intellectual Property Organization’s development agenda, as well as the Egypt Vision 2030.

The launch ceremony will be attended by Daren Tang, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The strategy aims to pave the way for a legislative environment about IP and support digital transformation in government services as well as spread the concepts of innovation by merging such concepts with all phases of the educational process.
