UAE’s Micropolis Raises USD 15.5M in NYSE IPO to Advance Robotics Tech

  • Micropolis Holding Company, UAE-based robotics firm,  raised USD 15.5M through an NYSE American listing, offering 3.875M shares at USD 4 each.
  •  Proceeds will fund talent acquisition, marketing, machinery, R&D, contracts, outsourcing, loan repayment, working capital, and corporate purposes.
  • The company develops autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) using EV platforms, integrating modular pods for surveillance, logistics, road sweeping, and human-robot interaction.

IPO

What is the deal? Micropolis Holding Company, a robotics manufacturer based in the UAE, completed its initial IPO of 3,875,000 shares at a price of USD 4 per share. Thus, raising total gross proceeds of USD 15.5 million. 

The shares began trading on the NYSE American under the ticker symbol “MCRP” on March 7, 2025. Furthermore, the company also granted underwriters an option for additional shares, indicating potential for further capital raise in the future.

What will they do with the proceeds? With the newly acquired capital, the company plans to acquire talent, increase marketing, acquire machinery and enhance R&D. Additionally, they plan to use it for contracts, outsourcing, repayment of party loans, working capital and general corporate purposes.

Micropolis

Who are they? Micropolis Holding Company is specialized in developing autonomous mobile robots utilizing wheeled electric vehicle platforms and autonomous driving capabilities. Specifically, it specializes in developing AMRs that utilize EV platforms and are equipped with autonomous driving capabilities

As part of its product offering, it integrates application specific pods that serve as the primary purpose of a robot. These pods are designed to accommodate various functions including surveillance cameras, road sweepers, logistics compartments. In addition, collaborative robots intended for direct human-robot interaction.

It is worth noting that in 2024, Micropolis initiated its IPO to raise approximately USD 37 million. The plan was to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)  at USD 4 to 5 per share.
